L4 Exchange Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Exchange Migration Engineer to lead a full-scale migration of our on-premise Microsoft Exchange environment to Google Workspace and Twilio SendGrid. This is a hands-on, project-based role focused on modernizing our messaging infrastructure, ensuring seamless mail flow, and retiring legacy systems.
In this role, the Exchange Migration Engineer will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive assessment of the existing on-premise Exchange environment, including server architecture, mail flow, and system dependencies. They will document all findings and develop a detailed migration strategy that includes phased cutover and rollback plans. The engineer will configure and integrate Twilio SendGrid for system and product mail, ensuring proper DNS authentication through SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. They will also prepare Google Workspace for migration by verifying domain ownership, setting up identity synchronization via GCDS, and provisioning user accounts and resources. Day-to-day tasks will include executing mailbox, distribution list, and resource mailbox migrations using Google Workspace migration tools, managing mail flow cutover with DNS updates and coexistence planning, and providing client configuration support for Outlook and mobile devices. Post-migration, the engineer will decommission Exchange servers, update internal documentation, and deliver knowledge transfer sessions and final documentation to IT staff.

This position will pay between $60- $70/ Hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
