Subject matter expertise in all matters relating to Section 14 Transfers, Retirements & Withdrawals. The individual applies this knowledge, skill & experience in an operational environment through their own efforts and must ensure compliance of others iro the execution of these processes ito the PF Act, Income Tax Act and AML regulations.Role/Job Description:
Knowledge management
Owns & maintains all Process Guides/SOP’s for all the Section 14 Transfers, Retirements & Withdrawal processes.Build & maintain a knowledge/information taxonomy.Creates & maintains all information documents, business process forms, email/letter templates inclusive of auto replies.Creates fit for purpose workshops with internal stakeholders (up and down stream) & external stakeholders (financial advisors/planners/brokers/other servicing teams).Regular review of assessment of competence of staff as input to training and coaching needsEnquiries & communication to Journey Leads iro any process related issues.Support root cause analysis and process reviews because of process execution issues referred by senior management for resolution.Acts as expert resource on matters / projects related to the execution of these processes.Stays abreast of all applicable changes in the environment (PF Act & Income Tax Act etc) and steers the operationalization of these changes.Reviews and interprets legal, compliance and/or tax notices for process and knowledge impacts.Uses feedback from escalations & complaints to identify & address process/knowledge gaps.Training & coaching
Designs & curates training programs & schedules which ensure comprehensive training iro all applicable regulation & legislation.Training of processes with constant pro-active monitoring of process execution.Conduct needs analysis & 3-way technical check-ins with team members, Quality Specialist & Journey Lead to ensure RCA & mitigation where issues are evident.Consulting with all team members iro problem/stuck/complex cases and coaching iro alternative solutions.Ensures consistent compliant process execution through review and input to quality assurance measures.Risk management
Consults with all levels of leadership iro process risk.Does RCA iro sub-standard process execution, liaises with Journey Leads iro mitigation and process execution reviews/updates.Identify & solve compliance issues.Reporting
Maintains a quantitative & qualitative feedback register iro work monitoring findings pertaining to technical-legal competence of all team members.Gives input into performance and coaching discussions of Journey Leads with team members.Other
Liaises with technical specialists e.g. tax, regulation, compliance and the Principal Officers (PO) iro pertinent technical matters.Minimum Requirements :
At least 3 years’ specialization iro one or more of the above processes.Sound consultation, collaboration & influencing skills.Disciplined planning / organizing.Resilience to manage wide scope of workload within legislated parameters.Agility to deal with constantly changing regulative & legislative environment.Proficient use of MS suite of products for analysis, record keeping and report writing.Experience working with Old Mutual workflow and product admin systems.Verbal and written communication skills
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Ability to understand, interpret & teach the application of various pieces of regulation / legislation / Fund rules to exits.
