We are hiring a Kitchen Aide for our growing team!  The Kitchen Aide  is responsible for managing food preparation and service in a residential facility. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment supporting individuals as they overcome substance abuse addiction. It is a multi-functioning team that works interdependently with the other departments in the organization. A desire to make a difference in the lives of others can be realized in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise all kitchen staff and manage staff schedulesMaintain confidentiality and comply with company, state, federal, and HIPAA rules and regulationsMaintain a positive, professional attitude toward clients, staff, and volunteersMaintain a safe, clean working environmentMaintain working knowledge of all kitchen equipment and toolsReceive, store and safely maintain all food itemsMaintain inventory of food supplies and kitchen equipmentPlace orders to replenish stock when necessaryPlan, prepare and clean up mealsAssist and oversee clients with meal preparation and cleanupPurchase grocery items using client WIC benefitsKnowledge of airborne and bloodborne pathogens (TB, HIV/AIDS, HB) and risk reduction methodologies, and the use of universal precautions.  

Key Experience and Education Needed:

High school graduate or GEDValid driver's licenseSelf-motivatedAvailability to work some evening, overnight and/or weekend shiftsGood communication and organization skillsAbility to manage time efficiently, meet deadlines and stay on scheduleAbility to read and adjust recipes as neededAbility to lift 50 lbsAbility to bend, squat, and stand for long periods of time.Problem-solving abilities
