Key Account Sales Planner (Timberland AMER)

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Key Account Sales Planner at Timberland looks a little like this:

Responsible for all aspects of sales planning for a specific Key Account within AMER.  Own end-to-end GTM demand inputs for Wholesale segment, delivering accurate pre-season through in-season forecast to support cross-functional planning.  Develop key account SCO level forecasts with risk projections.  Support wholesale financial plans in agreement with commercial teams to support finance planning.  Support in sell-in and sell-out and hind sighting.  This role will report to the Manager of Key Account Wholesale Planning.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

Manage seasonal SCO sales plan for key accounts to ensure growth goals & strategies are being achieved, while identifying risks & opportunities to the plans.Develop and implement best in class long term strategies at account levels through collaboration with account managers, merchandise, marketing, finance, operations, and product teams.Create and maintain detailed key item/account forecasts to maximize sales and inventory levels.Analyze sales trends and on-order inventory to adjust forecasts.Publish and report out weekly sell out data in the BI tool using portal and SPS data.Participate in and own all GTM milestone deliverables for specific Key Account.Contribute to monthly cross-functional commercial forecast meetings with Demand Planning, Finance, Head of Planning and Head of Sales by analyzing current S&O using Flash Math.Help drive achievement of business goals and initiatives via analytical insights, product knowledge and close cross-functional collaboration. Build & maintain strong relationships with key customers and accounts to influence and execute account plansKeep informed of current best-in-class practices, processes and techniques and bring them into the organization as appropriate.Work closely with Key Account Sales Rep to determine trade opportunities per SCO/Account.This role will work closely with the Commercial Teams, Merchandising, Operations, and Finance.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundational skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 2-3 years of experience and professional achievements in sales planning, retail sales, buying, or other related wholesale account functions.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university with a concentration in Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

You should be very comfortable with interpreting large sets of data from a variety of sources and translating into a factual-based sales plan.You should have strong organizational and communication skills.You should be passionate about the business and be result driven.You should be proficient in the Microsoft suite of products, with the highest priority on excel and formula writing.You should have a strong ability to problem solve in a team environment.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

Familiarity with systems such as Business Objectives and SAP.Knowledge of Power BI.

Hiring Range:

$68,000.00 USD - $85,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
