Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Main stakeholders are ABB valued Customers & Partners.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Owning and growing key account relationships, driving year-over-year (YOY) revenue and order growth across assigned segment portfolios.
Developing and executing account-specific strategies, including pipeline development, opportunity management, and long term customer engagement plans.
Positioning ABB's value proposition effectively within the segment, delivering tailored, solution-based offerings that aligns with customer needs.
Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams (tendering, marketing, operations) to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the segment, including upselling, cross-selling, and strategic partnership initiatives.
Monitoring market trends and customer insights, providing feedback to influence product development and segment strategy.
Ensuring high standards of account governance, including forecasting accuracy, CRM discipline and compliance with commercial policies.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years in key account or segment sales, ideally within the electrical distribution, MV switchgear, or related industries.
Strong understanding of Medium Voltage (MV) solutions including AIS, GIS, RMU, CSS, and Relays. Prior experience positioning and selling these products is highly advantageous.
Proven experience working across Utility, O&G, Industrial or Data Center segments, with established networks and customer relationships.
Demonstrated ability to grow strategic accounts through pipeline development, opportunity management, and long-term engagement strategies.
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with a customer-first mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., tendering, marketing, operations).
