Job Description
As a Key Account Manager within our Oncology Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our Oncology Portfolio across the region. Reporting directly to the Oncology Business Unit Director, this position is predominantly field-based (80%) and offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet and exceed the needs of our customers.
You will be responsible for identifying and translating customer needs into actionable insights for internal teams, optimizing revenue generation, and building strong, strategic relationships with key decision makers. Your expertise will be essential in mapping decision-making processes and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Market Insight: Develop a deep understanding of key accounts, stakeholders, and the overall decision-making landscape within the oncology market.Account Planning: Create and implement comprehensive account plans that capture both short- and long-term opportunities, aligned with business objectives.Collaboration & Coordination: Partner with cross-functional teams (medical, marketing, market access, etc.) to ensure a unified, customer-centric approach.Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and decision makers.Strategic Negotiations: Lead negotiations for strategic collaborations and business agreements that support brand access and profitability.Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed to maximize impact.Scientific Exchange: Engage in scientific discussions and knowledge-sharing activities to bridge the gap between clinical practice and scientific innovation.Market & Competitor Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and healthcare system changes to inform strategic decisions.Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and facilitate productive meetings to align goals and share critical information.Education, Background & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business (Sales/Marketing) or a relevant field such as Medicine, Manufacturing, Research, or Healthcare.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a customer-facing role.Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.Strong knowledge of customer and business strategy.Solid understanding of local healthcare systems and reimbursement processes.Fluency in both the local language and English is mandatory.Key Competencies & Skills
