Job Title: Key Account Manager
Location: Remote – National, with a predominant focus on East Midlands (Leicester, Derby, Nottingham)
Following a period of transformation and growth at Royal Mail, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Strategic Sales team as Key Account Manager based in the East Midlands. You will lead a defined portfolio of approximately 20 high-value customers through a strategic and relationship-driven approach. You will be responsible for maximising revenue growth, retaining key accounts, and delivering business-critical initiatives across parcels, international and letter services. Acting as the voice of the customer, you will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver bespoke solutions that drive commercial success.
Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio generating £35m+ in annual revenueBuild and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients across retail, e-commerce & public sector.Drive revenue growth to meet commercial targets by identifying up/cross selling opportunities, leading contract negotiations on renewals, and service level agreements (SLAs).Implement sales and portfolio planning tools to increase customer value and satisfactionMitigate competitor influence through tailored pricing and product strategiesChampion the deployment of new products, campaigns, and commercial solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Operations, and Customer SuccessAccurately report revenue forecasts and maintain CRM to sales standardEnsure alignment with Royal Mail’s reward, recognition and compliance policies
