Key Account Manager

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE CLIENT COMPANY:

 

The trading company is a Nordic group that was founded more than a decade ago in Romania, distributes products produced to the largest international retail chains operating in the country - "Real", "Metro", "Auchan", Kaufland, "Sellgross", "Rewe group" “Carrefour”  .

The company also successfully distributes its products to local market participants - "Ocean fish", "Whiteland", "Negro 2000".,  with similar group of prod. meat, milk, diaries, eggs or beverages, coffee or if non-food, cosmetics, detergents and similar  items.

From September 2025, the company expanding rapidly will add up fresh products category to the existing one of frozen food.

 

Direct boss the commercial manager is a regional manager located in Baltics and its known as a very empowering and inspiring manager.

 

Structure of the department: AREA MANAGER (1)-KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER (2-3)-SALES ASSISTANT (1)

 

Location and travel required: min 50% mobility needed in Romania, mainly Bucharest; work location to be defined (close by Bucharest now)  Office now closeby sector4 in Bucharest.

 

Scope of the role:  a new role to be assigned to generation of min 1 -2 big Key clients hypermarkets ideally Mega Image or and Lidl.

 

Someone pro-active, hunter profile as well as farmer, with excellent track of record and portfolio or/and good potential to grow.

Next year a local subregional manager will be appointed most probably promoted from the local team.  Therefore, we look for a leadership natural skills will be highly regarded, for a future possible promotion .

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate clear initiative, activeness, willingness to report on own’s work results, searching for opportunities to increase sales, product knowledge, in other words true desire to work and strive for growing results. The progress will be monitored via the Group reporting system, providing regular feedback and support to help this person grow and succeed (whole team in head office is at his service any time he needs).

This approach allows us to address any issues promptly and recognize achievements as they happen, fostering a dynamic and responsive work environment.

                             Key Responsibilities:

 

Full responsibility for customers acquisition, development and maintenance, profitability:

1. Specialized consultancy and support for existing clients, actions to expand the portfolio of clients and products purchased by the clients.

 

2. Identifying new clients and increasing sales volume.  (Ideally the clients we mentioned above)

 

3. Conducting field visits / weekly in the allocated area, managing a number of clients/monthly (shelves analytics: prices, competitors, assortment).

 

4. Price modeling for each partner for new SKU.

 

5. Planning of promo activities.

 

6. Applying sales policies and monitoring compliance with commercial terms regarding payment deadlines, payment methods, delivery conditions.

7. Achieving the agreed individual sales plans.

 

8. Communication on price increase and on other questions.

 

                            Qualifications & Experience:

3+ years of successful experience in sales (FMCG food & beverage is an advantage) Proactive and self-motivated, result driven approach Strong negotiation, influencing skills, customer focused approach Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data Experience in forecasting and developing sales growth Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment Industry knowledge and understanding of market dynamics Good native leadership potential Technical skills required: Microsoft Office, good experience in working with Excel Languages abilities: Romanian fluent, English-good verbal and written

Salary will be discussed and its open range according to seniority but according to the market range we have

Range 9k lei net to max 14k lei net fix Per month Fix and bonus

Quarterly bonuses 30% maximum of the year fixed salary (as per co policy) ~1 more salary /quarter

Travel sustained by reimbursement of fuel and personal car usage (later maybe company car)

Vacation days ranging from 21 to 25 days depending on tenure.

Occasional bonuses – according to company policies.

Flexible work schedule (where the nature of the job allows)
