The Opportunity

The Key Account Executive will be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic customers to achieve sales targets and drive business growth. This role focuses on developing profitable relationships with both new and existing clients, implementing direct and indirect sales strategies, and ensuring elevated levels of customer satisfaction. The position plays a critical role in supporting the company’s commercial objectives through strategic planning, execution, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and client businesses.Drive direct and indirect sales to meet or exceed assigned targets.Expand sales by introducing new products/services and conducting client visits.Prepare and execute short- and long-term sales plans using available marketing tools.Build and retain long-term relationships with key clients.Ensure delivery of high-quality customer service and support.Communicate new product and service offerings to clients, coordinate with sales reps for additional service needs.Establish and monitor key account profitability models.Track and optimize the cost of doing business with key accounts.Evaluate and improve route-to-market strategies to reduce costs.Provide inventory forecasts to ensure compliance with contract requirements.Identify and communicate risks related to inventory backorders and potential penalties.Oversee 3PL partner compliance (inventory, cycle counts, quality, invoicing).Present sales progress, market trends, and competitive insights to senior management.Manage credit, collections, and ensure zero bad debts.Ensure compliance with 3PL contracts, account agreements, and internal credit policies.Resolve claims and credit notes within agreed timelines.Serve as liaison with key government health systems and internal stakeholders.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (hospital directors, physicians, government administrators).Conduct quarterly performance reviews with government and internal partners.Lead process changes including product launches, government bids, and compliance updates.Coordinate internal proposal development (rebates, pricing, leverage deals) and negotiate with customer executives.Promote a customer-centric culture focused on delivering value.Attend cath lab procedures to understand customer needs and identify training opportunities.Represent the company at industry events, congresses, and educational forums.Ensure compliance with Abbott Vascular’s Quality Policy.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum 1 year in Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, or Nutritional sectors as a Sales Manager, Business Unit Manager, or Product Manager; orMinimum 3 years as a Sales Representative, Key Account Manager, or Account Manager in related industries.Experience in strategic distributor management and high-complexity products preferred.Familiarity with direct market sales and third-party logistics models is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in English and the local language (spoken and written).Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
