Position: Train Cleaner
Contract: Casual, with the potential to transition to a permanent position after a few months based on performance and business needs
Pay Rate: from $32.25 per hour plus penalties and Superannuation
Location: TransWA Prospector Maintenance Depot, Kewdale
Shift Schedule:
Monday 13:00-18:00 and 22:30–12:30
Tuesday 13:00-18:00
Wednesday 13:00-18:00
Thursday 13:00-18:00
Friday 13:45-16:45 and 21:00-1:00
Additional hours may be offered, and some shifts may be extended if trains are running late.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize train interiors (seats, floors, tables, windows)
Empty trash bins and maintain restrooms
Vacuum carpets and clean upholstery
Disinfect high-touch surfaces (handrails, door handles)
Occasionally clean the train's exterior
Act as site supervisor when absent: oversee cleaning team, ensure tasks are completed to standard, report issues, and communicate with management

To be considered, you must:
Be able to lift, carry, kneel, perform cleaning tasks, and stand for over 2 hours
Hold a recent National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
Be able to pass random medical and drug & alcohol tests
