Kerr Process Engineer I (On-Site Pomona/Orange, CA)
**Job Description:** **JOB SUMMARY:** We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Process Engineer I** to support and enhance our manufacturing operations for the production of dental consumables. In this role, you will help sustain production equipment and processes, investigate and resolve non-conformances, and implement improvements through engineering change orders. You’ll play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and 5S, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and effective communication, with occasional domestic travel (up to 10%). **_This position will be based in Pomona, CA location in the near future, and will work from our Orange, CA location in the interim._** **PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Supports the sustainment of production equipment and existing manufacturing processes. + Investigates root-causes of non-conformances and updates work instructions and Bills of Material via engineering change orders to resolve those issues. + Provides Operations with communication and/or training for those changes. + Develops and maintains an understanding of all current manufacturing processes. + Actively participates in continuous improvement activities including but not limited to Kaizen and 5S events, Problem Solving Process, Value Stream Mapping, and Transaction Process Improvement. + Effectively collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives. + Adheres to all company policies and procedures including safety and quality. + Travels up to 10% domestically. **Incidental Duties:** The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, and indeed additional responsibilities may be assigned, as required, by management. **Job Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or related field required. + Intermediate Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel. + Aptitude to quickly learn business systems. + Effective verbal and technical written communication skills in English. + Ability to build strong partnerships with other departments. + Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** + 1+ year of related experience in Chemical production or Materials Engineering manufacturing environments preferred. \#LI-SC1 IND123 **Target Market Salary Range:** Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs.
