Job Title: K-8 Spanish Teacher Location: St. Charles School, San Carlos, CA Position Type: Part-Time, 2025-26 school year About Us: St. Charles School is a Catholic Faith community. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Part-Time Spanish Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic faculty team. Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate Spanish educator to teach Spanish language and culture to students in grades K-8. The position involves teaching Spanish twice weekly to students in grades 4-8, with a focus on vocabulary development, grammar fundamentals, and conversational skills. Students in grades K-3 will focus on an introduction to Spanish through songs, games, and cultural exploration. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a love for language instruction to the classroom, along with a desire to nurture students’ curiosity about world cultures. As a Spanish teacher at St. Charles School, you will play an essential role in broadening students’ perspectives and enhancing their communication skills while supporting the values of a Catholic education.

Develop and implement interactive, engaging lessons that foster enthusiasm for language learning. Encourage cross-cultural understanding and appreciation through classroom activities. Assess student progress and provide feedback that supports growth and improvement. Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support school-wide language learning goals. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and participation. Uphold and model the mission and values of St. Charles School. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field. Fluency in Spanish (native or near-native proficiency). Valid teaching certification and teaching experience preferred. Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Ability to create a joyful and inclusive learning environment. Familiarity with integrating technology into language instruction. A commitment to Catholic education and the holistic development of students.
