THE ROLE Lexisnexis is looking to add a corporate counsel to its growing Legal and Compliance Team. This person MUST be proficient in English. The ideal candidate will be a key partner to our Sales, Products, Publishing, and Export teams and support our growing revenue deals, products development and documentation and vendor procurement agreements. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic lawyer who has a passion for helping scale and shape commercial contracting processes and policies, training team members to accomplish the same, impact the development and lifecycle of products and learn and take on new areas of the law. The corporate Counsel will directly report to the General Counsel France & CEMEA who sits in Paris and will be joining a team of 3 experienced in-house counsels. KEY RESPONSABILITIES + Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial/IP/IT agreements : including SaaS, software licenses, partnership and alliance, promotion and marketing, influencer, reseller, author agreements… Has advised on IP matters + handle complex legal issues with limited supervision. + Ensure compliance with company policies and work closely with data privacy and security authorities. + Partner with the extended support teams (including sales operations, procurement, IT, marketing, Publishing teams) to help deal closures and optimize processes + Actively chip in to various legal or cross-functional and/or cross-regional projects.
