Tasks and Qualifications:About the Role
We’re hiring a Junior Wireless Network Engineer (1-2 years exp) in our Real Time Logistics (RTL) division to design, stage, commission, and maintain customers’ wireless networks and mobile devices. You’ll also identify opportunities to improve system performance.
The role reports to the Field Service Manager and is based in Notting Hill, VIC, with some interstate travel required.
Key Responsibilities
Integrate wireless technologies with existing network infrastructure and services
Stage and commission mobile devices and wireless infrastructure
Perform remote and on-site troubleshooting, engaging third-party support as needed
Conduct wireless simulations and on-site surveys in industrial environments
Provide technical feedback to support accurate project planning and sales proposals
Perform on-site preventative maintenance and service tasks as per customer requirements
Commission equipment and deliver operator and first-level support training
Build and maintain strong, ongoing customer relationships
Identify and report potential sales opportunities
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
Degree in Engineering, IT, or a related scientific discipline
Network/wireless certification (CCNA or CWNA preferred)
1–2 years’ experience with networking technologies (Cisco, Aruba, Extreme)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Customer service-focused with strong relationship-building abilities
Comfortable working at heights (EWP training provided)
Exposure to Ekahau site surveys (desirable)
Experience with network capture troubleshooting (desirable)
Eager to learn and adopt new technologies
