We are looking for an algorithm-motivated person/ simulation engineer with an interest in Layer 1 (L1) algorithms (OSI 7-layer model), from system level all the way to L1 architecture and specification of 3GPP - mobile broadband standard. You will be located in Amadora, Portugal, working within a global team and helping to ramp up a new system simulation team.

Location: On-site in Amadora, Portugal
Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical engineering, or a related field with an accredited school

You have:
Master or above, major in Telecommunication, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or relatedBackground on wireless/ telecom systemsSkills in programming in MATLAB1 to 2 years of experience in L1 transceiver algorithmsStrong team working skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersFluency in EnglishIt would be nice if you also had:
Knowledge of 3GPP standardization documentation, processes, and forumsUnderstanding of L1 algorithmsKnowledge of L1 SoC chipset and chip-level architectureBackground in communications theory and signal processingAlgorithm definition and optimizationModeling the algorithms/ functionalities in link level simulatorPerform technical reviews including documentingHelping to ramp up a new team and guiding other team membersContributions to L1 Architecture
