Junior Software Test Analyst
Location: Meriden, Coventry
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum
Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm (fully office based)

The Opportunity
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Junior Software Test Analyst with commercial experience, either through a previous role, industrial placement, or graduate scheme. You will be joining a growing development team near Coventry.

In this role, you will build on your foundation in software testing to support the delivery of reliable, high-quality software products. You will be involved in the full testing lifecycle, including test case design, bug reporting, regression testing, and contributing to team discussions about quality and improvements.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Software Test Analyst:Design and execute test cases based on user stories and acceptance criteriaDocument and report bugs, helping to troubleshoot issues with developersContribute to functional, regression, and exploratory testing activitiesSupport software releases by validating features and identifying risks earlyAssist in reviewing requirements and identifying test scenariosMaintain clear and detailed test documentation
Requirements to be considered for the Junior Software Test Analyst:A degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related fieldExperience or Knowledge of software testing or QA role (including placements)Understanding of testing principles and software development lifecyclesStrong attention to detail with a structured and analytical approachAbility to work collaboratively in Agile or fast-paced delivery environmentsFamiliarity with test management or bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
Desirable Attributes:Experience running manual tests across desktop or web applicationsExposure to SQL or basic database validationAwareness of automation tools such as Selenium or PlaywrightInterest in performance or non-functional testingA proactive approach to learning and improving testing practices
