You will be a part of Splunk’s Lakehouse team and work with other team members to deliver new query capabilities to the platform, extending Splunk’s capability to search and analyze data wherever it resides.In this role, you will:Extend the Splunk platform to query new data lakes and provide further customer insights from their dataWrite production-quality, high-performance distributed systems codeBuild, test, operate, and maintain customer-critical query functionalityHave a growth mindset, constantly learning and adapting to new technologiesEmpower your ideas by proof-of-concept prototypesDesign and implement new featuresAnalyze and optimize query performanceInnovate and contribute to the product roadmapBe informed and creative – know about meaningful problems, devise new solutionsIdeal Experience:Strong Java/Scala or C++ skills with distributed systems design and knowledge of OO and functional programming practicesOutstanding computer science fundamentals and data structure knowledgeExperience with Apache Spark, Databricks, or similar high volume data technologies will be a plusKnowledge of software engineering and testing best practicesExperience with Agile development, Continuous Integration, github, etcPassion for solving hard problems and exploring new technologiesExcellent team player with good communication and documentation skillsEducationBS/MS in Computer Science or equivalentWe value diversity at our company.
