Position Summary: 
Palladium is currently seeking a Junior Software Developer to support the implementation of the Data for Implementation (Data.FI) award in Eswatini. Data.FI is a five-year global project funded by PEPFAR and USAID, whose goal is to accelerate and sustain access to high-quality data to expedite HIV epidemic control and maintenance. Data.FI is led by Palladium, in partnership with JSI Research & Training Institute; Johns Hopkins University, Department of Epidemiology; Right to Care; Cooper/Smith; IMC Worldwide; Jembi Health Systems; and Macro-Eyes.  
The project is USAID’s primary mechanism for strengthening data, technology, and HIS to support HIV activities. Data.FI aims to improve global, regional, and national in-depth analysis of HIV epidemiologic and programmatic data. The analysis can then be directly applied to expedite the achievement of PEPFAR targets. Data.Fi focus also includes direct support to host-country governments to enhance existing HIS, thereby informing management responses to well-defined gaps in HIV and AIDS programming and sustaining impact by supporting the transition of activities to local partners. 
The Junior Software Developer is a full-time position based in Mbabane, Eswatini.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

The primary role will be to work with development team in all aspects of software design and coding, including testing.   Testing software for bugs or other issues that may affect functionality or the user experience. Working on minor bug fixes. Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems. Responding to requests from the development team leads. Gathering information from users and potential users about program functionality. Ensure the continuous availability and use of MoH applications to support health data and information management. 

Required Qualifications:

Degree in Computer science, Management Information Systems or related degree.  Self-motivated and results oriented. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Written and oral proficiency in English and Siswati Must be legally authorized to work in Eswatini.
