This is an external staff position for 2-year’s contract, based in Bucharest. Your employer will be a third-party supplier, in service for Roche.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Contribution
Actively contributes to the development and continuous improvement of the customer support and service strategy, aligning with Roche’s broader business objectives.
Collaborates cross-functionally with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, and Product Management) to ensure customer-centric solutions that drive operational excellence and long-term value.
Supports the identification of emerging customer needs, translating technical insights into actionable service innovations.
Operational Excellence
Delivers high-quality technical support to customers, focusing on the operational performance and preventive maintenance of Roche’s advanced diagnostic systems.
Conducts second-level on-site interventions, including installation, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and networking components.
Continuously monitors equipment performance and proactively addresses potential system failures before they impact laboratory operations.
Identifies cost-effective service solutions that optimize system performance and minimize customer disruption.
Analyzes recurring technical issues, feeding insights back to product development teams and contributing to product quality enhancements.
Ensures timely and accurate documentation of all field activities in Roche’s CRM system, maintaining a clear service history and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Maintains a strong focus on customer satisfaction, partnering with the Roche Customer Support Centre to deliver a seamless and responsive service experience.
Who You Are
A recent graduate (or up to 1 year of experience) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Technology, or a related technical field.
Solid foundational knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships across diverse teams and customers.
Demonstrates a solution-oriented mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to remain calm and reliable under pressure.
Technically confident, incl MS Office, and curious, with good electronic, software, and mechanical skills to support equipment installation, preventive and corrective maintenance.
Analytical thinker with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities, comfortable navigating complex technical issues.
IT systems and networking knowledge is a strong plus.
Proficient in English (spoken and written);
Willing and able to travel up to 50% for on-site customer support, with a valid Category B driving license.
