Junior Resource Manager

This role sits at the centre of the business and plays a critical part of how our clients experience Edelman, how our teams integrate to deliver brilliant work, and how our agency functions, evolves and grows every day.

Resource Management
Edelman Junior Resource Managers are organized, proactive individuals who will not be intimidated by a fast-paced environment, detail oriented work and multi-tasking. Their demeanor invites partnership and trust, and they have a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and good judgment. They have exceptional communication skills, and are comfortable escalating or following up with stakeholders when requests get roadblocked. Spending a solid portion of their day managing data is interesting to them, and they’re eager to learn and grow by partnering with the broader Resource Management team. 
Responsibilities include…Owns data entry and ongoing maintenance of staff allocations in the resource management tool (RMSS), leveraging staffing plans and other inputs from project managers and account leads, keeping data up-to-date ongoingSupport with weekly utilization reporting across all specialty pools Supports the resource request process, including trafficking incoming requests, booking into RMSS, and confirming that resources have onboarded as anticipatedProvides resourcing data to inform allocation review meetings, team management, and support with ad-hoc needsAnalyze resourcing data to identify trends, capacity gaps, and opportunities for optimizationProvides administrative support to the resource management team, including ongoing updates to processes, internal skillset database, and liaison with Global partnersPartners with other Resource Managers across the Edelman network globally, coordinates resource request intake and resource sharing when neededAbout Your Background:2–3 years of experience in resource management, project management, or operations within an agency or fast-paced, integrated environmentA strong interest in operational efficiency and resource management principlesExcellent time management, organizational, and communication skillsExercises good judgment when working with confidential or sensitive informationStrong proficiency in Excel, comfortable using formulas, pivot tables, and charts to analyze dataFoundational knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, ChatGPT, and a resource management and/or project management tool (e.g., RMSS, Smartsheet)Edelman Canada is committed to the safety and well-being of our employees and to preventing the spread of COVID-19 in our workplaces.
