Job Description

As a Junior Platform Engineer, you will be an integral part of our infrastructure team, focused on deploying, maintaining, and optimizing our technology platforms. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a passion for system administration, cloud technologies, and automation. You will work closely with senior platform engineers to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our IT infrastructure.

Infrastructure Deployment: Assist in the design, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure components. Collaborate with the platform engineering team to implement best practices for system architecture. 

Cloud Platform Management: Gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to deploy and manage resources. Contribute to the optimization of cloud services for cost-effectiveness and performance. 

Automation and Scripting: Learn and develop automation scripts for routine tasks using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies. 

Work on improving efficiency through the automation of deployment and configuration processes. 

Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Participate in monitoring activities to ensure the availability and performance of systems. 

Assist in troubleshooting incidents and contribute to the resolution of technical issues. 

Security Compliance: Learn and implement security best practices for infrastructure components. Contribute to the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities. 

Documentation: Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer and maintain a reliable knowledge base. 

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and system administrators, to support integrated technology solutions.  

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

Basic understanding of system administration, networking, and cloud technologies. 

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus. 

Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies. 

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

Preferred Skills: 

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 

Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet. 

Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 

Familiarity with monitoring tools and practices. 

Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
