What You Can Expect

The Junior Orthopaedic Designer reports directly to the Design Team Manager. The Junior Orthopaedic Designer’s main role is to carry out our preoperative analysis, segmentation, and design for patient specific implants for use in surgery.
The JOD works within the team, following cases from conception through to post-operative analysis. Providing the engineering drawings, case support documentation and DHF completion throughout.

 

How You'll Create ImpactContribute to daily delivery of cases where needed.Documentation of design process (DHF).Supporting documentation creation.Complete designs efficiently for AceOs cases.Review and complete segmentation of basic anatomies.Work alongside design team for implant development and idea generation when required.Develop individual skills in design, segmentation, and anatomy.

 

What Makes You Stand OutTertiary degree qualification in Engineering, or Industrial (product) Design.Proven skills and experience in the design and development of medical devices.Ability to train staff in 3D imaging, 3D modelling (Freeform/Solidworks) Design processes and Segmentation.Proficient of Microsoft officePositive attitude in all aspects.Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

 

Travel Expectations

No extensive travel required although occasionally required to provide surgical support in theatre.
