Job Description
The Junior Platform Systems Engineer will engage in the dynamic field of satellite technology, contributing to various sub-systems such as Telemetry, Tracking & Telecommand (TT&C), Control & Data Handling (C&DH), Electrical Power System (EPS), Attitude Determination & Control System (ADCS), Electrical Propulsion (PROP), Thermal Control System (TCS), and Flight Software (FSW). This role involves participating in the satellite life cycle, mission analysis, and concept of operations (CONOPS), while monitoring supplier designs and progress.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor supplier designs and progress review.Support activities related to requirements definition, verification and validation matrix, design description, systems budgets, equipment specifications, and test requirements.Participate in program milestone reviews including EQSR, SRR, PDR, CDR.Support Satellite/Platform Verification & Validation, Integration and Test, EGSE definition & data analysis.Attend all test reviews TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCR’s.Contribute to DC & RF harness design, Platform and Payload layout.Assist in In-Orbit Test (IOT).Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering.0 to 2 years of experience.Initial experience with integrated systems.Initial experience with requirement definition and testing.Understanding of concepts of space and ground segment applications, specification, and integration methodologies.Knowledge in Matlab & Simulink and other simulation tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with Requirements Management tools such as DOORS/Windchill/Jama.Previous experience in Space programs.Experience creating or using models and/or simulation software.Demonstrated capability to efficiently work with little to no supervision.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of French is advantageous.Work Environment
The role is salaried with overtime offered as straight time. Candidates must possess a valid US passport.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
