What success looks like in this role:
- Incident queue monitoring and recording
- Basic knowledge on infrastructure components such as MS Windows Servers, Linux servers, network switches
- Initial support and classification, correlating events and performing initial fault diagnostic
- Routing requests to recovery groups when incidents are not resolved during initial support
- Monitoring the status and progress toward resolution of all open incidents
- Keeping affected customer informed about progress
- Escalating if necessary
- Resolution confirmation and closure of incidents
- Participate in change management preparation and communication
- Suggesting and participating in automation opportunities
- Perform daily health check on infrastructure components following predefined manuals
- Discover and document process and procedures which need to be published to the team or on the Knowledgebase.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
BA/BS degree and 0-2 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Key requirements:- Ideally experience and basic knowledge in server operating systems (Windows, Linux, Citrix), server platform and network principles (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing), database solutions (SQL, Oracle)
- Education: B.E / Any Graduate / Diploma in Information Technology or Engineering
- Fluency in English
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work with sense of urgency
- Willingness to work in shifts ( 24/7 availability)
- Vendor specific certification (Cisco, Microsoft server technology related certification, ITIL) considered as an advantage - nice to have
