Job Title: Junior Underwriter Job Description: We’re seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Junior Underwriter with hands-on experience in processing conventional loans. The ideal candidate will possess a solid experience in loan documentation, condition clearing, and credit analysis, with a strong focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: + Review and validate loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lending standards + Analyze credit reports to determine borrower creditworthiness + Conduct comprehensive evaluations of income and asset documentation + Clear underwriting conditions efficiently and ensure collection of all required documents + Collaborate closely with loan officers, underwriters, and internal teams to resolve issues + Stay informed on conventional loan processing guidelines and regulatory updates Qualifications: + Minimum 3 years of experience in loan processing or a related role, particularly with conventional loans + Proven ability to interpret credit reports and analyze income and asset documentation + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills + Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities + Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment + Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred Preferred Skills & Competencies: + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite + Solid understanding of underwriting principles and relevant federal, state, and local regulations + Experience reviewing titles, appraisals, and other mortgage documentation + Knowledge of income and asset calculation methods + Financial services or mortgage industry experience is a strong plus Relevant Keywords: Mortgage, Loan Processing, Underwriting, Credit Analysis, Administrative Support, Microsoft Office, Data Entry Experience Level: Intermediate Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
