Junior Laboratory Associate (Bayer Lab)
The Bayer lab at NYU’s Department of Biology is looking for a highly motivated and independent individual to work as a Junior Laboratory Associate starting February 2, 2026. This position is for a trainee preparing for a research path. It will provide development of technical skills; supervision by senior scientists incorporating individual development plan in support of training goals and those of faculty mentor; and possible publication of research findings during appointment period. Responsibilities will include designing and performing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, presenting research findings, and animal husbandry. The Bayer lab studies the neural mechanisms of fertility and mating behaviors in C. elegans and D. cerebrum.
