Junior Laboratory Associate – Westmoreland Lab
Applications are invited for the appointment of a Junior Laboratory Associate under the supervision of Professor Dana Westmoreland. The hire will: - Assist in setting up new lab equipment and ensuring its proper working condition. - Assist in the preparation and execution of laboratory experiments, especially by maintaining stock chemicals and reagents and performing routing preps. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory, including the proper disposal of waste and management of supplies. - Assist in various in vivo projects involving redox enzymes. - Support in the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications by gathering data and literature. The terms of employment, which would be for one year, with a possibility of renewal, include a competitive salary and other benefits. In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, this position's annual base salary range is $58,656.00 to $58,656.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms when extending an offer. Required education level: BS; 0-1 years of experience with a general expectation of approximately 2 years at the junior rank. First-level training post in laboratory research support; requires science-specific education, which provides a framework for understanding research methods and laboratory procedures.
