**Hybrid:** This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center in Warren Michigan three times per week, at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business].
**The Role**
Seeking a motivated labor relations professional to join our Corporate Labor team as part of a dynamic rotational development program. This role is designed to deepen understanding of labor relations within the GM–UAW manufacturing environment and build strategic labor expertise across the organization.
As a Corporate Labor Representative, the selected candidate will:
+ Gain hands-on experience by shadowing Corporate Labor Relations Managers
+ Lead and support labor relations initiatives and cross-functional projects
+ Collaborate with staffing teams and joint program partners to explore the full scope of the National Agreement
+ Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Corporate Labor function and its impact on operational excellence
+ Participate in subcommittee planning and 2028 National Bargaining cycle
This rotational opportunity offers a unique pathway to grow within GM’s labor relations discipline while contributing to meaningful outcomes across our manufacturing footprint.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Provide Labor Relations support and counsel to Management on aspects of labor relations for employees represented by the UAW and other splinter Unions as necessary
+ Participate in 2028 National Bargaining Sub-committees
+ Rotate through multiple Corporate LR functions over a 2-year rotation to learn key labor objectives
+ Interpret collective agreements between the Company and its represented workforces
+ Build and maintain strong working relationships with Union partners and various functional business partners
+ Work cross functionally and collaboratively on Corporate Labor initiatives
+ Collaborate on the development of training materials as required to further develop labor professionals and support corporate LR training initiatives (e.g., weekly office hours, monthly LR training, etc.)
+ Travel with overnight stay as required (25% or less)
**Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)** ****
+ Minimum of 3 years Labor Relation’s experience
+ Knowledge in negotiations, contract language and interpretation, conflict management and resolution, change management
+ Strong verbal and written communications skills
+ Strong with data analytics and summarizing complex information to present/explain to others
+ Comfortable speaking in large groups and in front of leadership teams
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and all other internal business systems as required, e.g. Kronos, Workday, etc.
**What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)** ****
+ Minimum of 3 years Labor Relation’s experience
+ Working knowledge of GM-UAW National Agreement
+ Multi-site experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration
