This position is open to qualified individuals aged 16 and older and is designated as At-Will. Idaho IceWorld is Idaho’s premier indoor family ice skating and entertainment center, offering adult and youth hockey leagues, figure skating programs, Learn-To-Skate and Learn-To-Play Hockey programs, and public skating sessions. Essential Functions + Provides group ice skating instruction and advice and ensures a safe and effective learning environment for all participants. Answers questions from participants and parents; resolves problems, or refers to appropriate personnel for answer or resolution. + Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training + Must be: a member of U.S Figure Skating through a recognized figure skating club or as an individual; complete Learn to Skate USA Instructor Certification within one month of date of hire; and must attend Junior Instructor orientation. + Knowledge of: ice skating techniques. + Ability to: maintain good relations with parents and skaters; general customer service standards; interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner; display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public and other organizations; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; complete assignments in a timely fashion; understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations; and perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.
