DescriptionOur Design Team deliver stand-out, affordable fashion with unique style and touches that underpin the River Island handwriting. As a Junior Designer, you’ll start to influence the direction for menswear graphics / print and be accountable for your own styles for inclusion in various ranges, that represent key trends and drive commercial results.
\n\nOverview
We are looking for a passionate Junior Graphic / Print Designer with a background in fashion to join our Menswear clothing design team. The candidate should be able to push the boundaries with their design skills to help us stay ahead of the game.
The Role\n\nCommercially aware of key menswear graphic and print trends from catwalk to street style and able to translate into tech pack ready artworks across different product types.\nResearching, developing, and creating prints, graphics, and logo designs for all-over and placements across all menswear categories.\nScaling and art working prints and graphics suitable to the product type\nIn depth knowledge of different print and application techniques.\nLiase with UK based and overseas factories and suppliers.\nSupport the senior designer as well as managing your own designs and workflow.\nConfidently present your designs to the Senior management team.\nHighly versatile with your handwriting.\nPlease note all applications need to be submitted with a portfolio of work to be considered.
\n The Person\nStrong experience in the field of print and graphics as part of a fashion design team.\nAdvanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills are essential.\n2+ years design experience, ideally in a multichannel fashion environment or supplier.\nIdeally operating at or close to Junior Designer level\nPassionate about fashion and design.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment whilst delivering projects on time.\nAmbitious, keen and willing to learn.\nWork effectively on your own initiative as well as part of a team.\nA team player who’s happy assisting colleagues by completing tasks outside their own job role if/when required.\nExcellent organisational skills, with the ability to think quickly, plan and organise your tasks.\nCommunicate clearly, accurately and confidently.\nAttention to detail.\n
