The Role The Junior Financial Controller will play a vital role in supporting our Financial Controller and the rest of the finance team in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and continuous improvement in financial processes. Key Responsibilities · Collaborate with the Financial Controller to streamline and improve reporting processes. · Assist in maintaining well-functioning financial processes and internal controls. · Be responsible for Project structure and management like project and client set-up, invoicing and reconciliation. · Support the Financial Controller with: · Reporting and quality assurance of monthly and annual accounts (costs, Balance Sheet). · Monitoring cost control and analyzing deviations from budget. · Ongoing development and enhancement of financial routines and processes. · Preparing and reviewing internal financial reports. · Assisting in the compilation of the annual report. · Supporting VAT/Tax compliance. · Managing purchase order numbers (IC/OH). · Contributing to balance sheet management and reconciliation. · Participating in internal and external audits. · Involvement in Intercompany (IC) transactions and reporting. · Supporting Shared Services Center (SSC) and Treasury Working Capital (TWC) tasks as needed. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. · Experience or internship in finance/accounting is a plus. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software. Preferably SAP and/or Marathon. · Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. · It’s an advantage if you have worked in an advertising or media communication company.
