The Junior Field Service Support role is a great opportunity to begin your career at OTT HydroMet/Veralto, especially within our UK Service Team—one of our most experienced and supportive groups. Based in Sheffield, this role involves 70–80% travel across the UK, including overnight stays, with occasional overseas trips as needed.

You’ll work alongside Senior Field Service Technicians in both the field and workshop, gaining direct customer experience and exposure across multiple departments. The long-term goal is to develop the skills and confidence to work independently in the field.

At OTT HydroMet, our Service Technicians are more than problem-solvers—they’re the first point of contact for customers and a key source of technical expertise. The feedback they gather helps shape our product development and commercial strategies.

In this role, a typical day will look like: 

Support the Sr. Field Service Technicians on-site with installations maintenance and fault diagnosis 

Help build and test Hydro, Met and solar stations in the OTT workshop

Prepare service reports and documentation as a follow-up to fieldwork

Liaise with customers and client contacts to arrange site work

Cooperation with other departments to support our customers with service queries via telephone, teams, and/or e-mail

Support Sales teams with service quotes 

Work closely with the administration to ensure professional customer visit planning and execution

Learn and develop your technical skills and knowledge

Other relevant duties as assigned

The essential requirements of the job include: 

Completed studies or technician training, preferably from the field of electrical engineering, information and communication technology, or hydrometry/meteorology 

Valid driver's license 

Good IT skills

Good spoken and written English capable of compiling technical reports for customers

Ability to absorb and act upon technical information

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

Basic electrical knowledge and experience

Experience working with sensors, data collectors, and data processing software. 

Experience with Python and/or Pascal programming
