Who will you be working with?
Railroad Friction Products Corporation designs and manufactures Cobra high-friction and low-friction composition brake shoes, specialty shoes, and disc brake linings for freight, locomotive and transit vehicles.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Railroad Friction Productions group/division, you will be responsible for multifaceted discipline focused on the optimization of the physical environment of an organization. It includes the design, construction, renovation, and maintenance of physical structures such as buildings, HVAC systems, Wastewater treatment system, electrical systems, plumbing, and other related infrastructure. A facilities engineer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the physical environment of an organization, from design to maintenance. Facilities engineer will work with professionals such as contractors, architects, and subcontractors to ensure that facilities meet the organization’s needs.
What do we want to know about you?

Inspecting buildings and facilities to identify any issues related to structural, electrical, plumbing, or other systemsCreating and implementing preventive maintenance procedures for maintaining building infrastructure and equipmentMonitoring systems performance and functionality, making recommendations for improvements or upgradesCoordinating with external contractors and internal teams for repair and maintenance worksMange external contractors while they are onsiteEnsuring all facilities meet compliance with laws and regulationsMonitoring consumption and manage efforts to reduce energy usage and costManaging waste disposal and recycling systemsRespond to various facility related problemsManage wastewater pre-treatment systemConduct monthly inspections of fire sprinkler system, fire alarm system, and emergency lighting systemDocumenting procedures, incidents, maintenance activities and keeping an inventory of all building components and equipmentAddressing emergency issues promptly and coordinating swift responsesFacilities engineer will be knowledgeable of structural code requirementsWork closely with Director of Transformation on facility expansion projects, layouts, and quality controlsEnsure compliance with relevant regulations such as air permit, wastewater management, waste disposal, building codes, EHS standardsWork with vendors to order replacement parts as neededWork with others at RFPC regarding design and installation of RFPC facility capital improvement projects.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$54,700.00-$72,500.00The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
