Plays an important role in leading the shift operation in the absence of the engineering management. He also plays as a link between the Guest Relation Manager and the Engineering. He is also important in providing the necessary technical support to other departments. He will be supervising the other Duty Engineers, Electrician, HVAC Technicians and Plumbers.

Departmental
Answering the telephone
To keep all equipment in good repair by providing day-to-day maintenance of the hotel under the direction of engineering management.
To be willing to train and instruct other members of the staff by passing along your knowledge and skills. In addition, utilizing resources from the engineering training library and of outside vendors and sources will assist them in their development.
Manage repair and maintenance project and building improvement by effectively coordinating and planning all tasks in advance of beginning any project under the direction of engineering management.
Use project management techniques along with the appropriately assigned engineering team members to perform project planning and execution.
All methods, materials and practices must meet and be in accordance with the local code, Fore Seasons specification, national codes and standard practices.
Distributing, checking and handling work orders including HotSOS.
Follow-up and give direction to all the Duty Engineers, Electrician, HVAC Technicians and Plumbers.
Fire Fighting procedure as a member of fire-fighting team
Attend briefing and meeting of engineering, the other department meeting within engineering.
Performing Special Attention Guest Checklist
Checking of M & E plant
Checking of utilities readings
Daily communication report
Handing and Taking over of shift duties
Operating the Building Automation System
Chiller management
Perform emergency trouble shooting or breakdown
Direct the leader of engineering section to plan and perform Preventive Maintenance for engineering system in the hotel.
Management of safety issues related to engineering system of the hotel.
Utilize all possible resources. Coordinate efforts with engineering and other affected department.
Keep a track of all task performed with time and requestor
Keeping track of all materials used
Check all external lights & Public area lights and repair any fault immediately
Special Requirements
Certificate in Engineering preferably in the area of electronic, electrical, HVAV and mechanical engineering.
Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in Building M & E services of which one-year must be preferably in the hotel industry.
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in English and French language.
Must be computer literate and be able to operate Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be service oriented and be able to maintain Four Seasons Hotel standard of hospitality at all times
Must be willing to perform shift work as and when required.
Possess a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
