The role

The CLUE squad is responsible for the development and implementation of ML models to support data driven client interaction. The models are used to predict churn, cross-sell and the acquisition of new clients.

As a Junior Data Scientist, you will work on developing, maintaining and improving machine learning models focused on diverse use cases throughout the bank. You will be at the forefront of creating models that help solve complex challenges, streamline processes, and unlock new opportunities. We need someone who can dive deep into data, work with tree based and clustering models and create scalable and reliable solutions.

You and your future

During our  Early Career Program, you’ll develop your career over 18 months by becoming an expert in your field. Throughout the program, you’ll stay with one team and receive training to enhance your hard skills. You’ll be paired with a buddy who will guide you in navigating the bank. For your personal development, you and your fellow starters will follow the Early Career Program and receive guidance from a Data & Analytics Development Consultant. We’re here to prepare you for sustainable career!

PracticalLength: 18 months in one fixed team, after which you will continue working within your team (no rotations)Hours per week: 40. About 10-15% of your weekly working time is spent on personal development, training and other activities. The other hours are spent working within your team; Every Friday afternoon is Data & Analytics Early Career Program  afternoon at the office!  Startdate: +/- 1st of October 2025

Your development as a Young Professional

Within this program, you will have the opportunity to get to know yourself, your trade, and Rabobank. You will start the program in a junior position within one team, participate in (online) workshops and training modules with other young professionals, and quickly gain practical experience.

Together with Data & Analytics community there is room for creativity and initiative to organize events, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. This way, we continuously improve the program and ourselves! You will easily build a large and valuable network within the bank.

You and your talentEducational Background: You have obtained a Master's in (Quantitative) Economics, Econometrics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Informatics or a similar field.Work Experience: Approximately 0-2 years of work experience.Residency: Currently living in the Netherlands.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate quantitative analysis into comprehensive information for higher management and business users.Technical Skills: Knowledge of Python as well as (interest in learning) Databricks, PySpark, cloud technologies (e.g. Azure), Git, CI/CD, ETL processes, SQLLanguage Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language.
