Job Description

We’re looking for a curious, capable, and adaptable Junior Data Engineer to join our Technology & Data team and help us shape how we use data to drive clarity, insight, and innovation.This is a hands-on role suited to someone with solid foundational experience in data modelling, ETL processes, and dashboard creation, who thrives in a fast-moving, high-trust environment. This role requires the ability to work independently with a focus on efficiently gathering, transforming, and presenting data to drive business insights.
Exposure to financial services or investment space is a plus but attitude, resilience, and learning mindset matter more. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can contribute to building robust data pipelines, support analytical reporting requirements, simplifies complexity, and isn’t afraid to try, you’ll thrive here.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
Data Extraction & Preparation
Extracts data from various internal and external sources.Performs data quality checks and validates results.Data Analysis & Interpretation
Performs data manipulation and descriptive/exploratory data analysis.Interprets and analyses data and presents.Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with senior analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs.Translates business questions into technical outputs that inform decisions.Personal Accountability and Professional Development

BCom or equivalent qualification, analytical or statistical focus.3–5 years’ experience in data practice and analysisFoundational experience in data modelling and ETL processes.Proficiency in Power BI, SQL and DAX for data modelling, visualization and reporting.Background or exposure to the investment management or financial services sector.Experience working with cloud data platformsExposure to Alteryx or similar tools for data preparation, blending, and automation.Working knowledge of Python for data transformation tasksFamiliarity with Agile or Scrum-based delivery frameworksAbility to work independently in a dynamic, unstructured environmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Skills
