Junior Credit Controller (m/f)

As a Junior Credit Controller, you report to the Team Leader Risk Management, and you are responsible for the entire debtors’ portfolio. You ensure that customers pay the bills on time. You also take care of sending reminders and interest notes, resolving disputes, collecting receivables, applying for credit limits and keeping the customer database up to date. You’ll need to be firm and organized to work as a credit controller. Furthermore, you will need to have/find the perfect balance between social skills / empathic ability and certain persuasiveness. Besides this you’ll need to be calm and confident to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations.

 

What you can expect:

 

\n\n\n\tSupervise credit limits and escalates if necessary;\n\tSign and initiate procedures in the ​​Credit Control area;\n\tMaintaining general ledger accounts;\n\tReconciliation of sub-ledgers; \n\tProcessing incoming emails;\n\tAnswer customer questions regarding billing;\n\tCarry out the suspension of service in case of non-payment;\n\tMaintain contacts with the debt collection agency;\n\tCreate all month-end reporting’s;\n\tDaily communication with the accounting department;\n\tAll other reasonable administrative duties related to the credit control function, including filing and archiving. \n

 

Your profile:

 

\n\n\n\tExtensive communication and administrative skills and a high level of commitment.\n\tFlexible, stress resistant, accurate, proactive, customer-focused and results-oriented;\n\tIndependent but also a team-player and likes working in a small team;\n\tNumerical and a strong analytical ability;\n\tAccurate and efficient;\n\tAble to work with tight deadlines;\n\tAble to work with strict KPI’s\n\tExcellent written and verbal communication in Dutch and good written and verbal communication in English. Any additional market-specific language e.g. French is desirable;\n\tStrong Computer Skills: excellent knowledge of MS office in particular Excel;\n\tSAP knowledge is a plus and otherwise be able to master serval systems quickly;\n\tLiving nearby Amsterdam (within a radius of 30 km).\n\tMBO+ degree in a suitable qualification and a good work and thinking level supplemented with subject-specific courses; \n\tGeneral Credit control experience from a similar position (in Retail is a plus) for at least 2 years;\n
