Position Junior Creative Content Producer
Description
Location Hybrid – Seattle, WA (4 days in office to start, moving three, after 12 months.)
Rate: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
About Outdoor Research: Outdoor Research is a premier outdoor apparel and gear brand in the Pacific Northwest. With over four decades of innovation behind us, we proudly design, test, and shoot our products in some of the most rugged environments in North America. From alpine expeditions and backcountry ski tours to trail running and climbing, our production work reflects the spirit of the outdoors and the athletes who live for it.
As part of our creative team, you’ll get hands-on experience supporting shoots in dramatic natural environments as well as in our Seattle studio. You’ll work with passionate designers, athletes, and storytellers to help bring new seasonal campaigns to life for an audience that expects high-quality, high-performance gear—and equally high-impact visuals.
Position Overview: We’re looking for a junior-level Creative Content Producer to support the execution of branded photo and video content from pre-production through post. This is an early-career opportunity for someone who is hands-on, highly organized, and eager to learn the ropes of content production, both on set and behind the screen.
This role is ideal for someone with 2 to 4 years of experience looking to grow within a collaborative creative team. You will assist with everything from shoot scheduling to basic video editing and social content capture, helping bring the brand’s visual storytelling to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Support (Primary):
+ Plan and organize photo and video shoots, including call sheets, crew coordination, and schedules.
+ Assist with location scouting, gear prep, and logistics on shoot days.
+ Support on-set operations such as lighting, audio, and camera assistance.
+ Coordinate with talent, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
+ Maintain organized systems for production files, footage, and content libraries.
Post-Production Assistance (Secondary):
+ Organize, select, and prepare footage for creative review.
+ Assist with basic video editing and asset formatting for social media, behind-the-scenes content, and internal use.
+ Support basic photo retouching, cropping, and exports.
+ Help ensure assets are delivered on time and in alignment with creative requirements.
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
+ 2 to 4 years of experience in content production, creative marketing, or a related field.
+ Comfortable working on set with a foundational understanding of production workflows
+ Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom a plus.
+ Highly organized, dependable, and clear in communication.
+ Enthusiastic about storytelling and contributing to a team-driven creative process.
+ Looking to grow into a more senior production role over time.
What This Role Is Not:
+ Not a senior-level producer position. You won’t be expected to independently lead large-scale productions or finalize budgets and strategy.
+ Not a full-time editor or designer. This is a support role that contributes to, but does not own, post-production.
+ Not a creative director. This role supports the creative vision rather than setting it.
+ Not a solo or remote-only role. On-set support and in-person collaboration in the Seattle area are expected.
+ Not an independent photographer or videographer role. While you’ll be involved in capturing and producing content, this is a collaborative, team-based production role—not a solo creator assignment.
What We Bring to the Table:
+ 11 paid holidays each year and 3 floating holidays
+ Comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans
+ PTO and sick/safe time
+ Transportation benefits
+ Paid volunteer time
+ 401(k) with discretionary company match
+ Bouldering wall and gym
+ Product discounts
