Position Summary Energizer is seeking an experienced and motivated Junior Counsel, Brand Protection & Licensing, who will be responsible for providing legal advice and support on a wide range of brand protection, counterfeit, and licensing matters facing a consumer products company, globally. This person will interact with and provide support to the Global Brand Protection, Marketing, and Licensing teams becoming a partner to the business and contributing to the success of the Company by combining both legal and business expertise to understand Energizer’s operations and strategic goals. Responsibilities Provide legal support to Energizer’s Global Brand Protection, Marketing, and Licensing teams Structure, draft, negotiate and review various licensing contracts Motivated and able to prioritize amongst many tasks of competing importance Ability to work independently and collaboratively Customer-focused, able to present complex legal matters simply Strong attention to detail and commitment to responsiveness Willingness to assist in other areas as needed, even if outside your comfort zone Work with business colleagues to set and execute a comprehensive global brand protection strategy Manage brand protection vendors and outside counsel Manage inbound and outbound licensing agreements Communicate licensing agreement terms with various business stakeholders Establish licensing internal standards and best practices Collaborate with trademark counsel on counterfeiting strategy and enforcement Collaborate with litigation counsel on brand protection related litigation Respond to a wide range of legal inquiries from internal stakeholders, focusing on understanding their needs, providing practical solutions and effectively managing risk Willingness and interest in handling various legal matters, even if they fall outside day-to-day responsibilities This role will report to the Senior Counsel, Trademarks & Brand Protection What we are looking for Juris Doctorate and a member in good standing of at least one State bar Minimum 3+ years relevant experience at a large law firm or as in-house counsel in a similar capacity Copyright law experience Provide legal guidance Experience drafting and negotiating licensing agreements Fluency in English Come join us! Total Rewards Package The salary range for this position is USD $105,000.00/Yr. - USD $174,000.00/Yr. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
