What the day will look like
Some of your key responsibilities will involve:
Discovery Meeting / Pre-Renewal Strategy Meeting
+ Create client work-up sheet (NB)
+ Engage with network office on prospect (NB)
+ Attend PRISM (pre renewal internal meeting) (R)
+ Provide slide input for meeting
+ Attend discovery / pre-renewal meeting
+ Take meeting notes + create action points
+ Send email to markets requesting appetite / capacity
+ Create capacity/ market tracker spreadsheet
Submission / Underwriting Call Preparation
+ Arrange NDAs with UWs and create NDA tracker
+ Request list of questions / topics for submission and UW call
+ Review the submission before sending to insurers
+ Book room for client presentation
+ Set up meeting invite on Teams and send to UWs
+ Create market attendance tracking sheet
Underwriting Call / Q&A
+ Attend underwriting call
+ Intro / outro for underwriting call
+ Takes notes during underwriting call
+ Collate questions from underwriting call not answered
+ Request additional questions and feedback from markets after underwriting call
+ Set up Q&A spreadsheet and send to network
+ Cover Matrix / Primary market negotiation / New Business or marketing the primary
Primary negotiation Renewal
+ Discuss coverage requirements with client
+ Create cover matrix
+ Send cover matrix to all possible Primary markets
+ Request Primary terms
+ Create Primary quote comparison spreadsheet
Present initial Primary terms to client / network
+ Discuss coverage requirements with client
+ Negotiate primary wording / amendments/endorsements
+ Request / Negotiate Primary terms
+ Create summary of Primary Terms
+ Present initial Primary terms to client / network
+ Further negotiation with primary if required
+ When agreed with client advise primary market
Excess layer negotiation
+ Send Final Primary terms and agreed primary wording to excess markets
+ Negotiate terms with each excess layer
+ Present excess layer terms to client / network
+ Send excess layer terms/quotes to markets
+ Keep market tracker up to date
Binding and Post placement
+ Present final tower to client / Network
+ Obtain bind order from client / network
+ Send bind order to all markets
+ Send confirmation of cover bound to client / network
+ Oversee creation of Slips in Brokasure
+ ECM all Critical documents
+ Load slip on PPL
+ Send to offshore for invoicing
+ Attend to all placing queries from offshoreAttend to credit control queries
How this opportunity is different
EMEA/UK Wholesale Cyber Junior Broker - with ability to support placements for large EMEA and UK domiciled risks into the London Market place. They will be working alongside a Senior Broker or Director and our Aon Network Colleagues in the region to contribute to the strategy, marketing and negotiation of business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets on a day to day basis in accordance with Marketing Strategy. They should have good communication/ negotiating skills, and appropriate market relationships.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
They should be able to work well in a Team and be able to self-manage their workload, in accordance with the above defined process, while being flexible to accommodate new inquiries or projects that will contribute to the enhancement of the service we provide to the Network. They should have experience and command of the documentation and systems involved in placing open market business in the London market.
Ability to speak other languages is welcomed.
