**Introduction** IBM Cloud platform combines platform as a service (PaaS) with infrastructure as a service (IaaS) to provide an integrated experience. Our team’s mission is to create and maintain core services and tools of Platform Experiences. You will be involved in the end-to-end delivery into production, from requirements gathering through design and implementation through production operations. **Your role and responsibilities** Join our analytics team to work on the transformation of our existing traditional data warehouse into a state-of-the-art enterprise data lake. You will work with experienced data engineers transforming data from a broad range of sources across the IBM Cloud platform (technical, financial, etc.) to support executive decisions, predictive analytics, and machine learning initiatives. You will focus on upgrading and maintaining event-driven data pipelines by using serverless cloud components like IBM Code Engine, Cloud Object Storage, Db2 Warehouse on Cloud, Segment and Amplitude You will be involved in the end-to-end delivery into production, from requirements gathering through design and implementation through production operations for traditional and cloud based applications. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science or Data Science * Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts * Experience with one of the following programming languages * Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Golang * Experiences with one of the following (web) technologies * Node.js, Express, Data Event Streams, Kafka, REST APIs * Basic knowledge of relational/non-relational Databases * SQL, NoSQL, Redis, distributed caches, etc. * Basic experience with version control using Git * Passionate about constant, continuous learning and applying new technologies * Keen troubleshooting skills and strong verbal/written communication skills **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience building and operating distributed cloud services * IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure * Docker, container orchestration, Kubernetes * CI/CD, Terraform * DevSecOps, SRE, DevOps * Additional technologies * Basic Front End Knowledge (React, CSS, HTML) * Designing a clean, developer friendly API, using OpenApi * Asynchronous and event-driven programming concepts * Open-Source Experience * Data visualization (dashboards, Grafana, etc) * Automated software testing * Agile methodologies using Scrum or Kanban * Understanding of Data Privacy Concepts IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
