**Overview** Publicis Sapient is looking for a detail-oriented **Junior Automation Quality Engineer** to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in quality assurance, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with developers to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of a mission-critical application undergoing a transformation — from a legacy monolithic system to a modern Java and React-based architecture hosted on Microsoft Azure. **Responsibilities** **Your Impact:** + Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing. + Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure the quality of the migrated application. + Identify, document, and track defects and issues, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution. + Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality risks. + Set up and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage. + Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective. + Ensure that the application meets the required standards and specifications before release. + Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance the overall quality of the product. **Qualifications** **Your Skills and Experience:** + Proven experience in quality assurance and testing, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices. + Experience with both manual and automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress). + Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. + Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. + Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions). + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Strong communication and collaboration skills. **Set Yourself Apart With:** + Experience with testing Java and React applications. + Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure. + Understanding of database testing, particularly with DB2 and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
