Formula for Success
In this important role as Junior Agronomist – Canola Seed, you’ll learn the intricacies of the seed industry, playing a key part in supporting the BASF Agriculture business in achieving its strategic goals through hands-on management of canola seed production processes. This is a perfect role for someone passionate about agriculture and eager to cultivate their skills in a dynamic environment. You’ll collaborate closely with our experienced agronomy team, contributing to successful production initiatives that drive crop performance and sustainability.
You will:
Manage field activities in accordance with production plans and participate in quality checks to ensure agronomic and quality requirements are met.Support grower management, assisting with contracts, acreage planning, and pest management strategies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency and grower profitability.Participate in ongoing professional development and mentorship programs to refine your agronomy expertise.

You will:
Demonstrate a strong understanding of agronomy principles and a keen interest in canola seed production, supported by relevant coursework, internships, or hands-on experience in the field.Possess a solid understanding of canola agronomy and seed production processes, including field management, pest management strategies, and quality control measures.Have a valid driver’s license to facilitate fieldwork and interactions with growers and contractors.
