We at Kalmar are seeking a talentedJunior Accountantto support theKalmar Intercompany process, including performance measures, process standards, and policies, through touchpoints and interfaces with related process areas.
The position requires working from the office for the first 6 months.
Main tasks and responsibilities
+ Support and oversee the matching of remittances to open invoices and the application of cash at the Global IC level.
+ Manage and resolve intercompany remittance mismatches or cash application issues.
+ Reconcile and resolve intercompany balances.
+ Complete manual billing requests and generate IC customer invoices (e.g., royalties, transfer pricing, and others).
+ Perform IC accrual list checks and complete both external and internal accruals.
+ Complete IC recharges.
+ Perform internal AP validation and internal AR aging.
+ Verify payable invoices for next month's netting and advise on netting.
+ Return IC list tasks in accordance with the Period-End Closing deadline agreed upon with RTR.
+ Resolve intercompany dispute notifications.
+ Monitor IC-AP invoice processing in Basware.
+ Monitor all IC ServiceNow incidents and support escalation cases.
+ Identify areas for improvement and suggest process development accordingly.
+ Monitor and process stuck EDI invoices from batch monitoring.
What you’ll need to succeed
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics
+ Up to 1 year of relevant experience in an international environment
+ Strong communication and organizational skills
+ Time management and ability to prioritize tasks
+ Logical thinking, process-oriented mindset and strong analytical skills
+ Experience with SAP
+ Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts), PowerPoint, and process mapping tools
+ Proficiency in written and spoken English
