Description Our client, a fast-growing company in Sausalito, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: + Process accounts payable/receivable and manage related transactions accurately and efficiently. + Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes (Source: RH Acronym Guide). + Support the preparation of financial reports, such as profit-and-loss statements and balance sheets. + Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations during financial data entry and reporting. + Collaborate with the accounting team to support audits and other financial assessments. + Identify and resolve discrepancies in a prompt manner. + Contribute to process improvement initiatives and recommend ways to streamline day-to-day operations. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. + 1–4 years of accounting experience (internships included) or equivalent education and practical knowledge. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software; experience with a cloud-based ERP + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to communicate effectively with team members and collaborate in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
