Jr. Staff Accountant
Description Robert Half is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join the Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) team, a dynamic program designed to provide long-term career opportunities in accounting and finance. As part of the FTEP team, you will work on a variety of challenging projects with our clients across diverse industries. Key Responsibilities: + General Accounting Tasks: Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly close activities. + Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. + Account Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts. + Support Audit Preparation: Collaborate with management to ensure all documentation complies with internal and external audits and regulatory requirements. + Process Improvement: Identify and suggest ways to improve processes for accounting operations efficiency. + Collaboration: Work closely with senior accountants and other team members to solve complex problems and meet project deadlines. Requirements Requirements: + Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger tasks + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP is a plus. + Knowledge Base: Solid understanding of GAAP principles and accounting best practices (Source: Robert Half Job Search Guide). + Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure accuracy in financial reporting and data analysis. + Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot financial discrepancies and proactively suggest solutions for process improvement.
