Jr. Legal Operations
Description A fast-growing in-house legal team in San Francisco is seeking a Junior Legal Operations Coordinator to assist with administrative support, vendor tracking, contract workflow, and general operations tasks. This is a contract role with strong potential for growth and a great fit for someone looking to break into legal ops or corporate legal environments. Responsibilities: + Support the legal team in maintaining legal operations tools and systems (e.g., contract lifecycle management, eBilling, document storage) + Track vendor invoices and outside counsel billing; assist with budget reconciliation and reporting + Help monitor legal requests via shared inboxes and route to appropriate stakeholders + Assist in maintaining internal legal dashboards and document trackers + Prepare simple reports, presentations, and summaries for internal legal meetings + Organize electronic files, templates, policies, and training materials + Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Procurement) for shared projects and legal needs + Support contract workflow processes by tracking status, routing for signature, and logging finalized agreements Requirements Requirements: + Bachelor's degree required (legal studies, business, or public policy a plus) + 1+ year of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or professional operations/admin setting + Interest in legal operations, compliance, or in-house legal support functions + Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite; comfort learning workflow tools (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign, Airtable, or similar) + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Clear communication skills, both written and verbal + Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, team-based environment The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, systems-savvy, and eager to support legal process improvements while growing their operational and legal knowledge in a corporate setting.
