Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field of studyWorking towards Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study1 to 3 years of working experience in the related field in a manufacturing environmentSome PLC programming background in Siemens and Rockwell controllers among othersRobot programming background (such as Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, and/or Motoman)Understanding of multiple computer programming languages (ex: JavaScript, C#, Python, C++, Java)Experience with databases and different types of data storageExperience in with the MQTT protocol (Optional)Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as neededExperience with capability studies (such as CPK, Gage R, and Gage R&R)Statistical Analysis (basics)Knowledge of different project management methodologies such as Waterfall and AgileMust be able to communicate fluently in both written and spoken EnglishEffective communicator with people at all levels.Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to handle highly sensitive matters with objectivity and discretion; High personal standard of integrity.Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop new techniques to connect legacy equipment to modern infrastructureManage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes.Create IoT applications that run on-premises and in the cloud.Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development and deliveryDevelop KPIs, metrics, and other monitoring tools to track I4.0 production environmentsProvide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, external services and internal resources requiredWork with source control tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub)Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and productionSupport basic data pipelines via ETL or ELT structures.Act with honesty and integrity, and make ethical business choices in accordance with Magna’s Compliance Policies and Procedures.Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
