Jr. Business Planning Analyst
Job Description Insight Global is looking for Business Planning Analyst to work at one of their premier client's facility in North Houston (Spring, Texas) and partially remote. This person will utilize their existing knowledge of accounting/finance concepts, as well as training, to support R&D and Quality business units with fiscal budget planning. They will sort and process large quantities of unstructured financial transaction data, provide in-depth analysis on that data, and provide feedback to business stakeholders. Analysis will include variance analysis (budget, cost, OPEX, etc.), budget forecasting, and strategic analysis while abiding by US GAAP standards. Once acclimated with the work functions and business processes, this person will be able to independently run, end to end, with certain categories of data. They will also assist with quarter/fiscal year closing procedures at the business level, provide detailed reports, as well as open and manage purchase orders for business stakeholders. This role also requires someone to have strong team work skills, and ability/willingness to collaborate with finance and other data analysts in the organization for rolling up the monthly/quarterly spend for close, and have proficient organization and follow-up skills. This role is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm CST (excluding major holidays) and is an onsite at the client's facility in Spring, Texas, but will transition into a hybrid role (Tuesdays & Thursdays onsite) once they are proficient with the work deliverables. Compensation: 23.00/hr-$26.00/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements 0-2 years of experience in a relevant professional work environment Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Strong understanding of accounting principles, processes (according to US GAAP), monthly/quarterly closing procedures Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and PowerPoint Have a passion for data/numbers and be able to process large amount of unstructured data Must have a strong attention to detail and be highly organized Be able to research, comprehend, and analyze data in order to make decisions based on that data Ability to take ownership of a task/process and run with it end to end. Be proactive in their approach and have good follow up skills.
