Our client in the property management sector is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their growing team. This is your chance to make an impact! Key Responsibilities: + Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets, for a diverse property portfolio. + Reconcile bank accounts, tenant accounts, and related ledgers to ensure accuracy. + Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments and tenant billing. + Support budgeting and forecasting activities by preparing detailed reports and data analysis. + Maintain detailed records of expenses, leases, and property management transactions. + Work closely with property managers to ensure accurate accounting for repairs, maintenance, and facility operations. + Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and accounting best practices. + Provide general support during audits or tax preparation processes. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. + 0–2 years of accounting experience; exposure to the property management or real estate industry is a plus. + Familiarity with accounting software like Yardi, QuickBooks, or similar systems is a strong asset. + Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in financial reporting and reconciliations. + Ability to identify discrepancies and ensure resolution in financial records. + Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. + Capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
